Bruce Abraham, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with APS, received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2000, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1994, and his B.S in Mechanical and Materials Engineering in 1990, each from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Abraham has a background in acoustics, hydroacoustics, structural acoustics, hydrodynamics, transducer design and development, and multi-sensor test and evaluation systems.

Dr. Abraham has led the development and testing of a deep-ocean mobile anti-submarine warfare system, a high-energy / high-power system for UUV’s, and a novel towed array to measure in-situ operational forces and responses.

Prior to joining APS, Dr. Abraham was a Principal Scientist in the Acoustics Dept. at the Anteon Corporation and a mechanical engineer in the Submarine Sonar Dept. at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC).

In 2021, Dr. Abraham was inducted into the University of Connecticut’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers.
